  1. ​@DavidWhiteOfFleet if your house has a leak, you call a plumber. If your computer has issues, you want an IT expert When it's something that's a medical issue, you want a doctor around. Surely something as important as your life deserves access to expert supervision?

  2. I hope we all agree that if you injure or drug someone, so they are in agony, then we call that torture, and it is morally wrong Is it really so different if the agony is caused by illness, and someone actively forces the sufferer to continue suffering? That still sounds very wrong to me

  3. ​ @stephfoxwell4620  but what if I had an illness that is going to make every breath I struggle to take for however many months, or even years, I struggle on for a loving agony of torture? Are you comfortable insisting I suffer that fate?
