I have friends who have been in similar positions - UK beurocracy is infamously complex and slow, and a shocking embarrassment in a supposedly modern country Bet chums of the government don't have the same issue though!

Economic migrants come on planes. Even if we went full machine guns and drowning on asylum seekers, it would barely be noticable in the figures, because legal, fully signed off immigration is very high And we do need the people. It's shameful that the government is happy to take the tax from all that work, but won't spend it on housing or hospitals
