  1. They did provide the answer,even though the question wasn't asked. Inflation is being driven by external costs on essentials. If you ask people to not eat there will be riots. Wages have to keep pace with the cost of essentials However, we do need to take money out of the system to counter inflation. Therefore, we need less dividends and bonuses paid out This counters inflation without causing painful hardship for average people
