@judyparsons1333 Tories run up bigger debts than Labour
1
@alwayspooh1588 well, we've seen her in action as foreign secretary, and she spent the whole summer telling us what kind of PM she wants to be Maybe she'll surprise us, but the record so far doesn't give me much hope
1
The coalition of chaos is Cameron, May, Johnson, Truss and Sunak!
1
@James_08_07 if they are honest, the best they could promise is to rebuild relations, and that's already been promised 🙂
1
@itz351IT I do think the election after next will have "start the Rejoin process" as one of the key issues!
1
Did Sun readers not help him out in finding Brexit benefits?
1
@moona1552 all the more reason he should apply his immediate justice plan to Liz and Kwazi then!
1
@robertpollock2037 fair point, but even then the veneer of civilisation was valued, even if it was incredibly superficial!
1
It won't reduce prices, ever. If we've sold the licences to private interests we'll buy it back at the global rate 🙁
1
Problem is the Tories just don't care about anyone but their donor chums. They don't care about the homeless They only care about making headlines about asylum seekers (but can't run an asylum process if their lives depend on it) They don't understand how to run the economy They are wrecking the NHS The Tories need to go!
1
@ronnieince4568 how much of that staffing is the UK having to now do a lot of things entirely in house that used to be shared across the EU?
1
@ronnieince4568 I will look into that. Some of it doesn't fit with what I thought I knew about the German setup, but I will double check before I say anything definitive! I do know that on matters like customs, borders and standards testing we've created a lot of extra work for ourselves that just didn't exist before withdrawal
1
@ronnieince4568 community and home care is something Labour plan to improve 🙂
1
@bossman1905 that barely covers rent and essential bills in many parts of the country! We need to improve the average for everyone, not drag people down to that
1
@B T make a lifestyle choice that will change your future! stop voting Tory
1
Wales did something, as did Scotland and London They got round the table and made a realistic offer!
1
@tombartram7384 it's not about African wages, it's about American and Australian wages. If they are willing to move to another country, why would they choose the UK over countries with better pay and conditions?
1
The Tories have screwed up massively. They've put all of us on the "enemies" side, and left nobody on theirs 🤣
1
@martinvickers7349 and it's Tory incompetence keeping the other 30% here
1
@stevec6427 but the real Coalition of Chaos is Johnson and Truss!
1
They are jailing people for it! Have we jailed any corrupt politicians in the UK yet?
1
@alternativelooney ooh, Liz Truss isn't doing much right now - give her the job! If she negotiates with Nurses the same way she negotiates with Australia they'll have fair pay in no time!
1
I think many of his colleagues are putting up strong competition for that title!
1
@raymondelf7520 It would be a betrayal if they don't! A repeat of the Brexit party dropout would destroy the credibility of Reform
1
What's wrong with having an opposition MP who specialises in opposing a specific Minister? It surely helps scrutinise government policy!
1
@lobbyskids2 but people want money spent on hospitals!
1
@lobbyskids2 what did the US government do? As generally, private insurance is cheapest in very interventionary, regulated models, like the Bismarkian health insurance model
1
Waiting lists have been growing under the Tories. This predates the strikes. This predates Covid The Tories have broken the NHS 🙁
1
Yep. Sorry they got caught, not sorry-sorry
1
Sadly, many places are so short staffed, 'strike' day cover is identical to day-to-day cover. The staffing situation is that bad already 🙁
1
@firstname4865 why does the tax rise have to be on low band wages? Why not capital gains? Why not fix non-dom loopholes? Lots of options to raise tax without punishing ordinary workers
1
@owencrompton3713 shirt off our backs - their shirts on their backs were preserved...
1
@owencrompton3713 that's my point. The Tories never put themselves on the line, they volunteer us to take the rough while they hog the benefits 🙁
1
The Tories need to go!
1
Truckers could organise and bargain collectively. If it works for trains, why not for trucks too?
1
@ThePierre58 Trains are doing better than many others, who are on minimum wage zero-hours contracts If they do even better, it just shows the power of sticking together and looking out for each other. I really hope this starts the ball rolling for a lot more people to get better pay!
