  1. We need journalists who hold the government to account! Even if we had a way for the public to call for an early election, would it be used? Too many journalists provide excuses to cover for government failings rather than hold them to account.

  6. @left_blank France and Germany spend more per head on healthcare than the UK does Are you saying the Tories have broken the economy, and we are unable to keep up with our European neighbours?

  7. @left_blank  Germany has an insurance based model. They still spend more than we do, because the German economy is healthy enough for people to afford it Quibbling about how the money is collected doesn't change the fact that our health service is underfunded compared to more effective peers

  9. @left_blank so you suggest we should be more like the Netherlands, where they are more proactive on mental health care and therapists? That works out cheaper than dealing with chronic addictions and other late consequences of neglect
