quote" But let’s be clear: For all their shared hardware, the two sports cars are distinctly different, beyond the obvious body styles. Anything that could be done to tune the package—every virtual electronic knob, slider, or curve that can be used to tailor throttle mapping, transmission and electronic differential behavior, electric-motor-assisted steering quickness and heft, power brake boost calibration, spring/damper/bushing/anti-roll bar rates—were all done in complete isolation from one another. Think of two architects given a set of raw construction plans and told to build a house in their own image, using their own language and materials, without ever talking to each other. You would hardly know the final results shared the same DNA. https://www.motortrend.ca/en/news/2020-toyota-supra-first-look-review/

quote" Manufacturing a new model means a ⭐few years of mandatory research and development. It includes the ⭐cost of maintaining the facilities, ⭐testing prototypes,⭐ paying the salaries of the staff, ⭐finding suppliers, and some other related things. ⭐It can cost hundreds of millions and it will increase if you decide to send the prototype into production. ⭐Retooling the factories and retraining the workers (in case, it’s a completely new product) will add to the figures. https://carfromjapan.com/article/industry-knowledge/how-much-does-it-cost-to-make-a-car/
Quote” The late former Illinois Senator Everett Dirksen, when discussing federal spending, once said, "A billion here, a billion there, and pretty soon you're talking real money." I don't know about you, but it only takes a couple of zeroes to the left of the decimal to start being real money to me. But it's not just governments throwing around all of those zeroes. Car companies, too, spend enormous amounts developing new models. The price tag to develop a new vehicle starts around $1 billion. According to John Wolkonowicz, Senior Auto Analyst for North America at IHS Global, "It can be as much as $6 billion if it's an all-new car on all-new platform with an all-new engine and an all-new transmission and nothing carrying over from the old model." https://www.autoblog.com/2010/07/27/why-does-it-cost-so-much-for-automakers-to-develop-new-models/
the vents which you have mentioned are for tuners , Toyota built the car with that in mind all the vents are meant to be functional if needed

quote" According to technical specs, and even Toyota’s own engineers, the fake vent caps can be removed for aftermarket applications. https://www.thedrive.com/news/27975/5-cool-details-you-need-to-know-about-the-new-toyota-gr-supra

New Supra is a good looking car, some people are acting like Toyota didn't tell them they were working with BMW, it's been 2012? since they started working together so this is no surprise. Some people are whining about Toyota using BMW engine but why don't they cry about the new Ford Mustang GT500 using an Eaton Engine, the same engine that the ZR1 uses? Eaton is not FORD or GM? Ford GT does 0-60 in 3.0 seconds? , ZR1, The headline figures, per Corvette Blogger: Zero to 60 mph in 2.85 seconds ?, the 2020 ford mustang gt500 is from what i read 0-60 in about 3 seconds?, DODGE SRT DEMON is 2.3 seconds?
https://www.supercars.net/blog/ferrari-0-60-times/
all cars above have a lot more horsepower than the new Supra with only its 335 horsepower is 4.1 seconds?

Mustang gt350 with a horsepower of 526, is doing 0-60 in 3.5 sec.

2019 Nissan GT-R Sedan 565 hp 0-60 in 3.5 sec
http://www.dailycarblog.com/2019/01/2020-toyota-supra-900/ Supra < it doesn't look cheap in my opinion, just basic. What else do you need in a sports car, you don't need anything complicated
