  2. No, there are just more equally ranked problem. Lot's of details, but nothing really complicated. Modern Underfloor-shower might be the only thing, that goes into the floor itself. And that's the only thing you have to keep. Floors and outside Windows.

  3. For some reason, the american accept public transport only vertically. Using the Elevator is OK, using a Tram is unacceptable.

  4. Never thought on the need on different lobbies, is this really such a game-changer for the use of a building ? Two-door lifts are quiet common in Germany. You enter from outside the building into the elevator, and the door opens inside the building to the inside.

  5. Not really, this is more Switzerland with support of German machines. Norwegians have just luck with their geologies, it's massive hard rock, same as under Downtown manhatten. If you see inside many of their tunnels, there are no tubbing, no concrete fillings, it's the plain rock, they hang in a lamp, and that's it. Plus, it's a land with natural oil to sell, richest reserve in western Europe, so they just have enough money for the tunnels and roads. It's also the country with the most electric cars, sind people in other countries are just not so rich to buy them. Norway 50% electric, Germany 12% electric. Most tunnels per square kilometer has Monaco. Compare again with income.

  6. Seems to be a really new thing to the new world. It's the default in Europe. Ground floor is shops, first floor is doctors, lawers, small offices, and above is residential. Traditionally it's only 4-6 floor buildings. Not all people like to live on the 20th floor or so. You have to get used to this. Simple reason is , there is no space for any "suburban sprawl". In 20km distance there is the next downtown of the next city.

  7. In buildings without supporting walls, a relativly free use is already made by design. Something like "rezoning" does not exist in Europe. Safety ? An office is as safe as an apparment. You lock the door. Safety done. Sometimes you get elevator keys, to allow access to a certain floor. Biggest change for people are room-high windows. Many people don't like this for appartments.

  8. Downtown frequent traffic, running on intervals of "every 10minutes or less", is actually uncomparable to train traffic scheduled on the minute. Sometimes there isn't even a schedule defined. Boarding an unboarding is unpredictable, sometimes 5 seconds, somtimes 40 seconds, and so on.

  10. People always complain about raising costs, cause they cannot imagine the outcome. On other projects in other countries people enjoy the results, and the discussions about the costs are soon forgotten.

  11. On a cruise you are not in a hurry, you want to see things. A cruise in a tunnel .. is like cruising at night .. silly.
