Is Scotland really considered a country ? For a German, this has more the feeling like beeing Bavaria. It's clearly ranked as beeing part of the country Germany. And "regional products" germans buy for ecological reasons only, as "not beeing transported more than 50km or so". maybe the "made in Germany" is also taken as sign of quality or supporting economy, but not as a thing of national pride.

@SalznPfeffer658 we are on an englisch- german channel here and there might be already problems in wording. What's a country, what's a state ? In german state is the legal term ,country the colloquial term for the same thing. Besides there are provinces ( in france or canada) or a land in german which corresponds to a state in USA, all with it's own parliament. In uk it's actually 3 kingdoms. In matter of football they all have their own national team, unlike any other country. So it's hard to find the appropriate terms for everything.
