If you learn a language above 18 (actually after puberty) it's kind of impossible to learn new sounds, cause some doors in the brain are closed. With learning it before 14 and having some movies available, it's much easier for people nowaday like Feli. But neither Henry or Arnold had it. Thei hadn't even had English in school.

I'm German, and can't reproduce the discussion about the 'r' here. In German the word ends on -bar, in english on -bor, so he's using more the a then the o. The 'r' isn't dominant in either case. If you learn a language late in life, it's impossible to get rid of any accents, and Arnold was over 20. The duration of speaking, has no influence.

@jeffreycaudle5108 ok, I see, so the problem is, we are learning british english in school..it's very hard to recognise different pronouniations in different dialects in a foreign language. In your german class you will get a feeling, what the song is about. But for phonetics singers take another teacher.

It's a rumour, to have a choice. At least, it's as difficult as getting out of a drug addiction, you had to reprogram your brain, it's beyond learning.

But in reverse, for a German, or for Arnold, it's hard to hear a difference. To my listening, it's -bar vs. -bor, nothing special on the 'r'. (german: nachbar, american neighbor, british neighbour)

There are hundreds of games, and new ones coming out each year. In some groups they are quiet popular, others never play at all. But since it's so many, there is not the one popular thing. Last one people would commonly know is Monopoly maybe, that's an import. After that, world has split into online games, board games slowly came back in the last 20 years. Hans im Glück is a fairy tale by the Grimm brothers, now also a burger chain with this name, never heared of a game.
