  2. Well, at least you can asess for the missing protest, if 10% are doing abortion you have at least the protest against it in the news. There is nobody protesting for that surgery. That is as good as accepting. "I don't do it to my cat, but other people can do it to their cats" is very american inconsequence, or what they call freedom.
