  2. German cars are weather resistant. They are not harmed by snow or ice, if you have a car port or garage, you safe yourself the time for scractching ice, maybe cleaning from bird remainders, or avoiding traces from neighbors cat. It's clearly no necessity, it's just comfort.

  3. People simply have other measures, what they consider " better ". Safety is a side thing, size does not matter, fuel use is important, speed in germany also, accelleration on a hill or at a traffic light.
