@harrisaxer2651 I know, they try to avoid AirBnB since years, but they have absolutly no success. The only result is, the appartments stay empty.
Hotels have not really a huge lobby.
Renters are, they have votes on the election. But in no country in the world, exists something like a duty to rent out.
Simpathies for sponsors or people giving money or warm soup to the poor are always understandable. But on a permanent monthly basis, this is rare.
Vienna is doing good in this, there a huge part of appartments is city owned. That's their solution.
Why should anybody build a new house, if people make it so complicated to earn money with them ? Nobody does. You have no sympathies, so they don't invest their money. It fires back. And the result is no mood to build new houses, missing houses, raising rent due to high demand.
