Now Tejas is inducted and operational. Indigenously developed content is more than 60% going to rise to 70-80% in the near future. So before shoving anything look at timelines. Also understand the difference between indigenously build content and indigenous product. An indigenous product can have foreign content. Pakistan makes sportswears but imports cotton from afghanistan so foreign content in indigenous clothes. Understand definitions before arguing. Tejas was shoved down IAF's throat according to some unonymous source?😅 Many anonymous sources have said many things about JF-17 also. HAL spend 30 years to build a jet from scratch. Unlike Pakistan who simply took blueprint from China's development and began manufacture little by little and call the jet their own. Huge difference. Clearly you don't read things properly before typing long comments😅 In 2016 HAL said they can reduce the amount of foreign contents by half. Which they did and had to do in order to ensure inhouse production. Prototypes don't necessarily require a supply chain. Production does and it was easy to do so because HAL had indigenous manufacture for Su-30mki all they needed to do was to convert those to fill the needs of the Tejas. It is believable to those who know how things work and don't build assumptions based on their biases. Of course Tejas was political, so was the Su-30 and the Rafale. Every equipment Indian military buys is political. As for Pakistan their politics is run by their military.🤣 So I really don't expect someone like you to understand.   417.  @sabercooler5024  You have no idea what you are saying. BVRs don't end fights that way. Missiles can be dodged, jammed or you can stay out of no-escape zones. You may lose a few jets, but then once you have run out of them you move in. End up in a close range fight. It will work the way you are saying if you are using Mig29s vs F-35s.

  418.  @sabercooler5024  You are talking like a child. Read my comment properly. I said in particular situations like Mig29 vs F35 what you are saying for a BVR fight can still happen. But not when you have equally BVR capable jets on both sides. It will eventually converge to close rage dogfighting. Then the maneuverability will come into play. Also, you don't need a powerful radar to take the first shot. There are AWACs that can help you lock, you can have ground radars to give you a missile launch via datalink. These days even stealth jets can be detected using the S400, Thaad, S500s etc.

  422.  @sabercooler5024 Results of wars aren't won or gauged by pilot skill, but by strategy and statistics. Skill, bravery play a role but it's tiny. Also the Rafale is in the league of the Raptor when it comes to maneuverability. It is semi stealth with it's powerful jammers and it can supercruise. Very few jets in the world can do that. Supercruising is very useful for your favorite bvr missions, because it increases the effectiveness and kill probability of the missiles when fired from a supersonic platform. With supercruise you can do that repeatedly if you have the necessary skills. So yeah it's pretty much in another league.
