Rafale M is far better than F/A 18 Super Hornet.

@totoitekelcha7628 It is better on every aspect bro. Every according to DCS mods. Rafale is superior.

@totoitekelcha7628 Dude F16 is in many ways better than the hornet.
1
@totoitekelcha7628 In some aspects. F-16 is faster, can handle 9G while F18 takes 7.5G. F 16 has more maneuverability. In other ways they are similar. Why should India take F18 when Pakistan has F16s.

@totoitekelcha7628 I said in some aspects it is better. In most ways it's similar. Rafale is in another league all together.

@sabercooler5024 Rafale has superior mobility than the Hornet, better turn rate and it can be customized with better EW, Jammers etc. Since the improved Rafale F4 is out it can get some of the upgrades. Given that Navy will most likely go for F 18.

@sabercooler5024 What makes you say better turn rate doesn't make any difference in modern warfare?

@sabercooler5024 Who told you close rage dogfights don't happen anymore? Are you seeing what is happening in Ukraine? Also all BVR fights eventually converge to close range dogfights. Especially, between equally powerful jets like Rafale and F/A18.

@sabercooler5024 You have no idea what you are saying. BVRs don't end fights that way. Missiles can be dodged, jammed or you can stay out of no-escape zones. You may lose a few jets, but then once you have run out of them you move in. End up in a close range fight. It will work the way you are saying if you are using Mig29s vs F-35s.

@sabercooler5024 You are talking like a child. Read my comment properly. I said in particular situations like Mig29 vs F35 what you are saying for a BVR fight can still happen. But not when you have equally BVR capable jets on both sides. It will eventually converge to close rage dogfighting. Then the maneuverability will come into play. Also, you don't need a powerful radar to take the first shot. There are AWACs that can help you lock, you can have ground radars to give you a missile launch via datalink. These days even stealth jets can be detected using the S400, Thaad, S500s etc.

@sabercooler5024 I know the Rafale is capable of jamming the Hornet so that it can't lock on it.
1
@sabercooler5024 Clearly you have no idea what you are saying. Two seconds is a LOT of time.
1
@sabercooler5024 During war you would like to send your cheaper jets first. So yeah AWACs are going to be useful everytime.

@sabercooler5024 Results of wars aren't won or gauged by pilot skill, but by strategy and statistics. Skill, bravery play a role but it's tiny. Also the Rafale is in the league of the Raptor when it comes to maneuverability. It is semi stealth with it's powerful jammers and it can supercruise. Very few jets in the world can do that. Supercruising is very useful for your favorite bvr missions, because it increases the effectiveness and kill probability of the missiles when fired from a supersonic platform. With supercruise you can do that repeatedly if you have the necessary skills. So yeah it's pretty much in another league.
1
@sabercooler5024 No it's not about RCS. The Rafale has SPECTRA jammer that doesn't let you lock on it. F/A18 has no such features.
