  1. So true. I hope the politicians are not the weak appeasers they were in the 1930s. If they ( Britain France) had then acted quickly a world war would have been averted. Our present lot did nothing when Putin annexed Crimea in 2014 and sent Russian troops into the Donbass. They were surprised by Ukraine's resistance in 2022 and have been slow and timid in helping Ukraine. If they'd supplied Ukraine with modern weapons right from the start and in quantity things would be different now. I so admire and am so sad for Ukraine. The horrors that country has endured and is enduring. Our ( civilised countries) governments must do everything they can to enable Ukraine to drive the invaders out of their land.
