Trump tried to tell the EU not to rely on Russian energy and instead buy from the USA, and they laughed at him, and saw it as an attempt at capturing the cheap Russian gas market with expensive American LNG.. So, as it stands today, don't expect Americans to lose any sleep over freezing Europeans this winter.
