Whatever the Chinese have beyond poverty and hopelessness, they've gotten from emulating the West. Should these people leave their urban confines and travel out in the rural areas of China, they would be appalled at the poverty and government oppression. It's easy to feel everything is wonderful when the government disappears (literally) dissent. Take them to the Uighur camps, see how they feel then. Private homes being bulldozed, land being appropriated, religious persecution, and the heavy hand of the CCP are all hidden from their puppet eyes and ears.

@shannonr4668 Come out of your coma twat. First of all, I've traveled throughout the world. I KNOW what these European wonderlands that get top ratings are REALLY like. The USA IS AN EXCEPTIONAL COUNTRY. It's exceptional in every aspect except for people like you that get a megaphone to spout their ignorance. Do you know where we truly become mediocre? Everywhere a liberal, a Democrat, or a public employee, has had a hand in. That's where we perform poorly! From catastrophic public schools, public housing, bankrupt Democrat run states and cities, and morally bankrupt Hollywood and Washington. People that disagree are puppets of globalism, where China is in charge. Then, it'll be too late to admit that you've made a bad decision about bad mouthing your country.

@thorable530 No, in no respect are ANY of the founding principles being "cast aside" What has changed is that now, we have a click bait media that highlights every loser, leftist, and criminal, as someone we should admire, and ignores the real people, the Christians, the Farmers, the small business people, and the middle American blue collar worker that are the bedrock of our society. Who gets the attention? Is it Snoop dog, or the woman that helped cure Ebola? That's the problem, not the society.
