  1. I just came from Aldi's in mid Missouri. Bread was $1.19 On the way home, gasoline was under four dollars a gallon, or about six miles driving for each dollar, or at minimum wage about fifteen minutes of work. I can tell you 100% that there is NO FOOD SHORTAGE where I live. There is baby formula shortage. I am HAPPY that rates are rising since NOW I can start to get a decent return on my savings. Not a "gain" on them, but just an "even" return. The sky is not falling. It didn't fall in Y2K... It didn't fall in 2008, and it is not falling now. My advise? Drive less...buy less!! Insulate your home. Learn to cook. Food accounts for approx. 13% of average income. If it DOUBLES it would still be less than most other countries.
