  1. The only two people I see that promote gold is those that own it, and those that sell it. Real estate can be bought with leverage (and paid BACK with OPM and cheaper dollars) while gold requires 100% up front., Just from a practical point. You can't eat, wear, sleep under, or stay dry with gold. Give me tenant occupied brick and mortar investments at 10-15% down. If a ten percent investment of your wealth in gold DOUBLES, you've made ten percent! If you have a ten percent gain in real estate, your investment DOUBLES.
