You think the Russians are going to employ thousands of Turks like the USA does?? What do they need a Turkish base for? We don't even need it anymore. Trump has hurt Russia immensely. Marek Kolenda They were not regular banks, but investment banks. They got money and (what people don't know, or ignore) paid ALL the money back with interest. Right now, the government GUARANTEES bank deposits up to 200,000 .. So, what's to worry? The government can print a trillion tomorrow without a hiccup. The banks will pay it back. Your money is not actually held by the bank anyway! Just like in the movie "it's a wonderful life" they don't have your money there. But it's NO PROBLEM.

Marek Kolenda So what? First, nothing moves on a ship without payment. They contracted for the beans. The beans were shipped. Their action is for their home grown Chinese audience. Second, we just passed a bill to reimburse the farmers for any losses, and finally. THEY NEED THE BEANS a lot lot more than we need the sale. What are they going to feed their livestock? Pigs don't eat hay. We can grind the beans into soy meal and store it like we store corn. We'll wait. Let's see who cries first.

Nehemiah Scudder You're listening to the Chinese mouthpiece. That's fine if you trust them more than ten to fifteen worldwide news outlets. I don't. Brazil doesn't supply enough beans, and not at the right time. The EU just agreed to buy more, and like I said, we can grind them for storage, AND just switch crops! Our farmers are the best in the world! They can grow Sorghum, Corn, and other crops next year. Let the Chinese pay 100 million plus more for their beans. And you say lower than the "price + Tarrifs"??? They're the ones putting the tariff on.. Not us! We're putting it on their steel and aluminum, and other items in the last round. Look. Here's what's happening.. Let's say I buy $100 from you.. But, you only buy $40 from me. Now, if I "tax" your $100 guess what? YOU run out of gunpowder at $40!!! How do we lose? We can't. Now the Chinese don't want to be seen as buckling to the Americans, but THEY WILL, or face tremendous pain. Like I said. Look at their stock market. Then look at ours. Let me know who's worried.

The face value can be one million. But to induce someone to buy, you have to offer it at DISCOUNT. Let's say $990,000. But what happens when you try to sell a TRILLION DOLLARS worth of bonds? You'll get crucified. Go ahead! Let them sell. See if they get any buyers and at WHAT PRICE?? HAHAHA.
