We are tired of listening as our industries are targeted, our intellectual property is stolen. And UNEQUAL Tarrifs applied to our goods. It's time for the Chinese to listen to US for a change.

Apple Crisp I think that people accept Trump for the wild, wacky, bullshit artist that he is, because they are tired of politicians. Phony, lying, scripted, rascals that made big promises on the stump and NEVER came through once elected. Trump was saying what was on people's minds. No one worked harder on the campaign trail. He's been doing a fantastic job, considering the Democrat snakes he has to deal with.

Ryan Boz But, what happens when there is no comparable us product? So, you have a cheap $1.99 spatula and a $4.99 American one. People buy the carcinogenic, shoddy, cheap Chinese $1.99 one. With Tarrif it becomes $2.50. So, who's getting whacked in this deal?

神州 Shenzhou No, it's wasteful. They buy things that are cheaper but they don't last. Appliances break down, toys contain lead, smartphones last a few years and then malfunction. I have kitchen LED lights that lasted two months past their warranty! Had to throw them away. "saved me money"????

The bearded Texan Those smartphones are WESTERN products made with cheap, Chinese slave labor. Once wages rise in China, those jobs are gone.

The bearded Texan That's RIGHT!!

神州 Shenzhou No, what it does is create a "throw away" society. Cheap Chinese products are bought and then tossed in the garbage, and new ones are bought. It victimises the poor, that look for the lowest cost item, but wind up having to throw it away, and buy another. VALUE should be your priority in making a purchase. China has only one priority.... Making it at the lowest cost to eliminate the competition.

Jeff Ambrosia You are 100% correct. Now, you just toss them away. In fact we had a lighting strike about fifty yards from our house. The cable TV line picked up the EMP and fried my TV, and just like you said, it would cost more to repair than buy a new one. It went in the trash.
