  1. I recently sold my home for what I THOUGHT was a really big profit after 17 years of ownership. Curious, I typed my original buy price , along with my selling price into an inflation calculator and was surprised to see a VERY MODEST GAIN. The house price more than doubled (bubble?) but in real dollars, only a twenty percent gain!! (no bubble) So, I question these doomsayers that see crashes everywhere.
