  1. At age 8, I "rescued" a squirrel from an attack by a dog. I picked it up in order to take it to my mother for help. It but my finger, so hard that it went down to the bone. I shook and shook and it would not let go, as I screamed. Finally it dropped to the ground and ran. I NEVER, EVER, EVER touch a wild animal since.
