@rockyp3917 What are you talking about? You can buy oil in clam shells if you want. Just find someone that want to sell you oil for clam shells! What conspiracy are you talking about? What you mean is that those that sell oil PREFER being paid in dollars.

@X00079X Nice explanation, but at the end of the day, they still don't understand that, "treat others as you would have them treat you" is in THEIR best interest. The Buddhists, Confusionists, and other religions DO NOT make up the business community in China. The policy of the communists are to WIN at every cost. They're not interested in fair play, but rather the most they can extract for themselves. Buddhist principles need not apply.

@X00079X You said they are in a "moral crisis".. Those were your words, not mine. And they say in essence just what I told you. They are not taught to value the "self", but rather what's good for the whole. But THEY never get to decide what is best and NEITHER do the WHOLE of the people. It is ONLY the communist party that decides. So it's 1) not about you 2) not about the people 3) only about what the puppet masters decide. Just tell me this... If the Chinese people want something that the government does not want, can they vote them out? Is there CHOICE? Of course not. You know that. Now WHO TELLS YOU what the people want? The government!! If someone says something that contradicts the government, they are "reeducated", arrested, or silenced. These things are no secret to the world.

@X00079X We'll, that may be true, but I feel strongly that there is a segment of the Chinese population that is brilliant, on the level with Einstein! But, the system they live in, doesn't reward exceptional talent or brains. It's all about "the people". I really don't believe that down deep in the Chinese soul, lies the idea that you win most when your opponent wins too. The government "says" that, but in practice, it's dog eat dig, and to the lion goes the spoils. I once had a class on all the world's cultures, and there was two things that stood out to me about the Chinese. First was maintaining FACE or APPEARANCE, not to be shamed or humiliated, but the second had to do with a family banquet. They said QUANTITY mattered, not necessarily QUALITY. As long as the table showed an abundance of food, a LARGE amount, that was better than expensive and high quality items. Those two things taught me a lot.

@rebamedia3054 We'll, that may be your world but not mine. China is already backing off. Like any bully, it just takes a little push back from a bigger kid on the block. They just lowered trade tariffs on cars today. Just the very beginning.
