  1. Look folks...interest rates are a BARGAIN right now. Even at seven percent with a paltry 3-4% inflation rate leaves your REAL interest that you're paying the bank at 3-4% which they are stuck with for thirty years. Meanwhile, YOU are free to pay extra on your monthly mortgage payment and in effect earn that 7% on the savings. When it was 3% they were GIVING AWAY the money. Show me another investment that you can put 10% down on your investment. Then there's the OMG!! 122,000 LAYOFF!! Uhhh we have a multi million person workforce!! Most "non tech" companies are dying for employees! The unemployment rate is NOT outrageously high. A one year Treasury is plain STUPID to buy!! First..you get your employee MATCH. get it? That's 50c on the dollar. Second..pay off credit cards.. that's 18% on your money. Finally, buy an I BOND or TIPS which are inflation adjusted and are paying right now 6-7%. Backed by the government.
