However, if you read about Alan Turing on Wikipedia, under the title "crypto analysis" you will see that he added a significant amount of work and mathematical practicality to the work of the Polish. But, you're 100% correct in that no one knows about them. Thanks again.

@Admiral45-10 As I've said.. They weren't given enough credit, but it was Turing that turned the "theory" into a practical device for cracking the code. We see that with a lot of inventions. Someone's "breakthrough" resting on the work of prior people. But, it's who crosses the finish line that wins the race, not those that started first.

I'm a die hard Capitalist and Republican. But, I think what the Bolshevik Bernie crowd complain about is the UNFETTERED abuse of our Capitalist society (here's the important part) to the detriment of CERTAIN parts of our society. Is Jeff Bezos allowed to destroy retail, and make 65 billion dollars, while paying NO TAX?? They seem to think so. Society and its high-tech gains have not enriched society AS A WHOLE and in fact has damaged part of it... Just saying..
