@Miata822 That's ridiculous!! This isn't a change for a new model year! Using off the shelf parts for a revolutionary change in automobiles REQUIRES a clean sheet design! They're pathetic ..period.

@Miata822 Look,..the NUMBER ONE most important asset a company has is its name and reputation. You don't hurry a piece of crap to market that's poorly designed, by incompetent people, just to please politicians in Washington. That is WHY Ford is known as Four old rusty doors, Found on road dead, Fix or repair daily, and so on... Because their past failures have tarnished their brand name. If you can't compete in a market with a unique selling point (like cost or quality) then stay out of it until you can. But don't slap a FORD emblem on a piece of junk. Again...a revolution in automobiles requires a revolution in ground up, fresh sheet design. Neither of which Ford is known for. I'm no fanboy of Tesla by a long shot, but at least they did it right.

Tesla, and the Japanese get out of bed everyday and ask themselves "how can we make our cars better?". Detroit gets out of bed and they ask " how can we get more diversity, and transgenders on the payroll?"
