  1. Greenies are loonie. The payback when you consider ALL the costs of installation, takes years to break even. You can take a third of that money and put it into high efficiency appliances, insulation, and install a natural gas powered generator for emergencies, and bide your time. Ten years from now, while they have a piece of junk on the roof, and are just at break even, you can buy VASTLY improved solar, that most likely will be user installed.
