The truth is that the Egyptians THEMSELVES were raiding the tombs, robbing them of all of their treasures, not to mention the MUMMIES! They took everything and sold them. They weren't interested in their history, and couldnt even READ the Ancient hieroglyphs until a Brit discovered the Rosetta stone and deciphered it.
