Coming from an Italian family, I grew up on ground meat, sausage, pork, bacon, and hot dogs. Very light on salad, pastry, and candy. I'm 70 now, the youngest of five, and we still eat the same. The oldest is 83, and overweight, but still doing great. Carbs are the enemy, not fat. Cereal, not sausage. Laziness, not lasagna. Moderation is king.
