If "us" is the poor stooge working minimum wage, then I say we've done ENOUGH for them. We've had the war on poverty for over fifty years and WE'RE LOSING. It's time to stop asking what we can do for the poor. Rather, let's ask what the poor can do for themselves!

But JUDGES interpret the law and apply the penalties. Who gave you the right or permission to act as judge. Now, if the boy scouts are "people", then corporations are people. If the Pittsburgh Pirates are a group of people, then McDonald's are people too. One are people joining together to form a baseball team, and the other to form a company. This isn't me saying this.... It's the Supreme Court. Corporations are people.

Look at tax cuts for business. They say, give us a tax cut so we can use that money to hire more workers. They get the cash.... But, it goes to stick buybacks and higher dividends. THESE policies have worked to screw the worker. The leftists DO have a small point in saying that in 2008, they bailed out the banks, but who bailed out the homeowner? These bastard politicians are too busy knifing eachother in the back to solve these problems.

  22.  @CJ-ib2jy  Well, in fairness there were hundreds of thousands of jobs at stake. They saw it as being better to keep them afloat than to pay welfare benefits for those affected. I just wish their calculations would have included homeowners as well. But, you're right. It WAS Bush that pushed the "loans for losers" idea on the banks, thinking that owning a home would give them a piece of the pie, and get them into responsible citizenship! Wow! It's like giving a bum a few dollars for lunch, that turns out to be a LIQUID lunch. Our motto should be "a hand up, not a hand out"....

  24.  chris Barnett  I visited California once. San Francisco and Miers (?) woods for the redwood trees. It's a gorgeous state, but their policies don't play well in the rest of the country. I'm all for doing their own thing, but the yo-yos in Hollywood and Sacramento etc.. Try to influence the rest of the nation with their liberal, leftist policies. The 9th circuit Court, being the most promenent example. Meanwhile, THEY have tent cities!! We have our share of homeless, but we also have SUPER affordable housing and a gigabundle of jobs.
