  1. OK, let's address your argument. Let's say that someone DID buy the park, and invested billions into improving it and charged an admission fee. That park because of a profit motive would be run better, offer more, and benefit THOSE THAT USE IT, more than the taxpayer who does not benefit from it now, while still shouldering it's costs and loss of tax receipts.
