  1.  @airdriver  It's more than that. The first two films, similar to the first two Alien movies, create this amazing whole that is far beyond the sum of it's parts. T3 is... not bad. Not good. Just meh. Some nice ideas, executed without passion or care. Too many callbacks to the previous film. It was underwhelming. Which, compared to the first two films, is unacceptable. T1 is gripping and T2 is fuckin' HARROWING. T3 being underwhelming feels like a real slap in the face. Also, killing off Sarah Connor like that... what? Then Salvation was... a bold choice. But it had the same problem as T3, just without the nice ideas. Nice overall concept, moving to the future war. But no idea what to do within it. Barely remember that film... Least said about the next two the better. Genisys was so unnecessary and dumb. Dark Fate... while one could argue it was a better film than T3, Salvation or Genisys, the decision to kill off John right at the start basically negates EVERYTHING in the first two films. Everything you felt? Doesn't matter anymore. What a dumb decision that was.
