  5. And he didn't do any of it because he held firmly rooted ideologies. He did it for influence. So that he'd be popular with the president, regardless of who it was or what they believed. He did it out of ego, refusing to let peace talks go ahead if it meant someone other than him getting the credit. The man believed in nothing but furthering himself.
