Like any animal (including humans, if you deprive them of food, family and security they'll develop to be fearful and aggressive. So many horrendous people see a pittie as a tool, as this mean dog that gives them street cred. These are the people to blame any time you hear of a dog mauling a human.

As well as being prone to various skin ailments, pitties don't deal with the cold very well. Giving them something to keep them warm and potentially protect their skin is a simple solution.

@tookitogo Do you not understand what a blanket statement is? You already showed your ignorance of the reasons that people might put these garments on a dog, someone had to explain it to you. So maybe you're not the right person to make that judgement, since you can't tell the difference between this and someone dressing up a chihuahua for a Halloween photo shoot. Take the L and go home.

@tookitogo The fact you're having to try and define my intention definitely gives the impression of someone overly defensive, who's scrabbling to find a point. You insist you've clarified yourself. Your explanation is vague and is rendered meaningless by sticking to your blanket statement. That's all.
