  1. Yes but hopefully in a good way. When I was about 9 months old my family brought in a new kitten. We grew up together, he was amazing. He passed away at the age of 20, lying on a plush cushion in front of a fireplace with all of us family around him. I dug his grave myself, we held a funeral service... it was awful, as losing a loved one will always be. But I couldn't have asked for more. Not sure he could have, either. Then again, he WAS a cat so he probably would... Point is, we shouldn't hold ourselves back from loving others just because we're afraid of one day losing them. Not suggesting that's what you meant, of course.
