I get the idea of why, it's just that it's an idea that often doesn't sync up with reality. With every dog attack, regardless of the dog's breed, there's always context. But in cases such as pitbulls, who've literally been given this reputation by humans, it seems that most people ignore the context and just blame the breed. That's actually quite worrying to me, as it shows a lack of consideration and critical thinking in favour of blind bias. Which is a bad way to approach most things in life.
