What about the black Americans who campaigned for civil rights? These people had to break the rules because the rules were corrupted.

Jan 6th ticks those boxes easily, since it was an aggressive protest incited by the loser of an election trying to overturn a result. This was a peaceful protest that recognised the governing authority, since the protests purpose was to push a pressing issue into said authority's attention. In short, you're reaching.
