@Dontcare-oe9wx Can't help but notice you dodging the key, undeniable distinction I made. The millions that died during WWI were, overwhelmingly, young men who were lied to and manipulated. Or men who were given a choice between going to fight or facing a firing squad. There's nothing noble about WWI. Those men didn't die fighting for freedom. They died for a lie perpetrated by their leaders. They were sold down the river, the same way that Israeli and Palestinian innocents are being sold down the river by their leadership. Using this day, after the 2 minutes silence has taken place, to call for a ceasefire is amongst the most decent things a person could do.

What march was the ex-vet beaten at?

@Dontcare-oe9wxPeople marching on Armstice Day = intolerant of civilians being acceptable collateral in war. People opposing marching on Armstice Day = intolerant of people objecting to civilians being acceptable collateral in war. So both sides are intolerant but who is decent?

@nigeljames83 Reform is the party for bitter loons who still believe in a fantasy fiction version of this country's history. Ask yourself; is that really who you want to empower?

@L-iv6lx That would be the goal, I think. Civic service should be a position of responsibility, not power that corrupts.

@AR-yp8nh Media attention and ignorance. Too many people don't know about those conflicts, and if you knew more you'd know that there ARE people consistently trying to draw attention to those atrocities too. We can't go forward operating on the basis that "unless we address and solve all problems simultaneously, we can't address or try to solve any". Nor is it helpful to try and twist people's unfortunate ignorance of the wider geopolitical situation into a hatred that serves only to discredit calls for peace.

It's alright, just keep your eyes out for any "protestors" whose boots are a bit too shiny. Ask them what their badge number is.

@Dontcare-oe9wx Your previous comments are garbage. They volunteered because they were lied to and manipulated emotionally. And if you look at the reasons why WWI happened, it was the result of the various heads of key European states escalating tensions and inciting conflicts with each other. The assassination of Archduke Ferdinand was just the spark, not the cause.

@Human-rights4all Look up the last biggest march this country saw, in 2003.

@taffyterrier Where were the riots then?
1
@taffyterrier Fair enough. Only non-English people starting riots... so what about all the morons who thought it was appropriate to go and start a fight by the cenotaph today?

@Oxley016 I would venture that the likes of Robinson and those trying to paint this as a "Muslim Jihadist" march predominantly comprised of "people who should go back where they came from" are being clearly racist.
