We do call them what they are; heatwaves. I suspect you just want to use "storm" because it sounds more dramatic. That's not calling something what it is, that's calling something how you want it to be perceived.

Pointing fingers and playing the blame game is stupid. EVERYONE needs to be taking this seriously and doing what they can. For some, yes, that will be more than others.

@Lorne.Mccuaig Everyone dies eventually. But humans are like cockroaches. We find ways to endure. Unless we make the planet literally uninhabitable (which would be difficult), some of us may find a way. I understand the despair, we're fast approaching a really bad situation and lots of people have their head in the sand. But I have cause for hope that some element survives and all the good things we've done aren't for naught.
