@prasanta5139 No, it's a tax to fund the NHS so we can all benefit from it. What you're advocating, getting rid of the NHS and going private, is only possible for the wealthy. That's gonna hurt working class FAR more than paying a bit of tax to support nationalised healthcare.

@iainmillington904 How can you say "they took the job knowing the wage" when the issue is how much cost of living has increased? Circumstances outside of their control have changed the playing field. If you think people on minimum wage should be striking for an increase, fine! Good luck if you're working private sector, of course... But why does that mean NHS workers shouldn't get one? Trying to drag everyone down to your level is a pretty bitter way of existing, especially when giving people a boost up would result in them turning round to pull you up with them.

@iainmillington904 Or they'd just privatise it and we're all screwed. Wouldn't it be better to retain our current healthcare system by paying them a decent, living wage?
