I've read the transcript of the recording you mentioned, I'm not sure what you think it proves. That the US have long recognised the importance of Ukraine in their ongoing feud with Russia? Because Russian inteference in Ukrainian politics predates that recorded conversation.

  6. ​ @margelatu79  Which doesn't change the facts of how NATO has operated. The US have a lot of blood on their hands, its true. So does Russia. They're different sides of the same coin. But you can't so weakly deflect from Putin's consistent action against Ukrainian independence just by pointing at the US.

  7. The roots go further back still, to when Putin tried to undermine Ukraine's democracy and install a puppet leader. This is what led to the civil unrest and revolution in Ukraine.
