I think what you're all missing here is that it's a TV show and what many people "love" about characters like Tywin and Cersei stems from the enjoyment that they, as an audience, get from watching these characters. Everyone loves a good villain whilst a pure do-gooder is kinda boring and predictable. Look at Ramsey Bolton. No-one can argue that he isn't right up there as one of the out and out evilest characters in the show but I'm damned if I didn't love his scenes. And that's the other factor; the actor portraying the character has a lot to do with how much love that character gets from fans of the show. Lena Headey, Charles Dance and Iwan Rheon are great actors. Emilia Clarke is not. She doesn't have the charisma that the formers bring to their roles.

Saying blame China, now that IS being political. Fucking hell Jo, get over yourself. This video is about all things White Walkers and, to do that properly, they have to at least mention that George Martin has personally stated that climate change is part of the inspiration and metaphor behind their design. This is a problem for you? And it turns out it's all because your arse is sore over your own perception of your guilt, something you have to try and mitigate with a strawman argument.

If Tyrion turns out to be Targaryen I'll be disappointed. I enjoyed the subversions of the classic tropes and if Tyrion turns out to be ANOTHER secret Targaryen it's gonna be playing too close to the whole special parentage thing for my liking. I feel there is more poetic beauty to be found in him being Tywin's true son.
