I love watching these excerpts from Rogan's podcast, I love getting all these different insights into social issues and often from differing perspectives. It's really interesting. What makes me so sad is I can watch a clip like this of Joe and Dan talking reasonably about an issue, then I scroll down and see the comments. I know, dumb move... But seriously, I feel like a lot of people are just not listening to what is being said. They're just coming in to share their angry opinion and they don't want to accept anything that doesn't support it. Which is ironic given that, in this case, the comments are from unreasonably angry people complaining about SJWs; guys, you're doing the exact same thing that you're criticising people for doing.

Meanwhile the record temperatures and wildfires across Europe this summer... coincidence. Totally unrelated. Sure.

@Antman Jones Jr Let's add the definition of "constantly" to the list of things you don't understand... Shit, this list is getting mighty long...

I get that Biden is a bad choice. Thing is, Rogan could really be describing Trump in this segment as well. They both seem like they're struggling in that regard. But Trump adds malignant narcissism to that list of problems. I'd vote for Whoopi Goldberg over Biden too, but she ain't running. I'd vote for a fuckin' cartwheel over Trump. It wouldn't be able to make things worse.

I cuffed my nephew round the ear once 'cos he was taunting his gran about her own dead mother. It was more of a reflex action than a considered one but it did the trick. I needed to communicate to him just how grievously he had hurt his gran with his comment and how badly he'd fucked up. A few years later I was monitoring him while he played football with some other kids in the park. He's not a very good player and an even worse loser so he started resorting to just shoving and hitting other kids when they came in to tackle the ball from him. I had told him multiple times to stop doing it but he persisted. Eventually I got fed up with him ignoring me and I went over and shoved him hard to the ground. Instant waterworks. But, after he'd dried his eyes, I got him to acknowledge that he'd been doing the same thing to the other lads and that it really wasn't very nice. He stopped doing it after that. He's still a sore loser but he doesn't hit anyone because of it. I stand by my actions 100%. In both cases words were not sufficient to communicate his mistake to him. He simply didn't understand what was being explained to him. But he understood "ow" and it made him stop, made him think. In hindsight, now, he can look back on those instances and understand what he did wrong and why it happened the way it did. No long-term harm.
