Why are you immediately bringing class into it?

How?

@jackbrooking4754 We're talking about the protest in this video. What happened in Birmingham the other day is irrelevant to that comment.
3
@Asegai666 Because this whole issue is about racism.
2
@mrror8933 A likely story.
1
It's basically just the BUF.
1
@MrBluebirds22 That's because left-wing politics are inherently working class. But that's not the same thing as conflating working class with racism. Especially since working class people tend to actually experience far more diversity than the rich elites.
1
@MrBluebirds22 Got a source for that claim? A huge part of left-wing ideology is worker's rights.
1
@Asegai666 There's no "maybe", if you look at and listen to the people leading the riots it'll tell you all you need. This is about their hatred of foreigners, particularly dark-skinned foreigners.
1
@MrGreen_GrandIllusion How do you conclude that a push for social liberty is actually "social engineering"?
1
@MrBluebirds22 A significant aspect of left-wing politics focuses on economic structure and empowerment of workers. Its thanks to left-wing unions and activists that we have weekends, sick pay, holidays, health and safety... pretty significant stuff for the working class.
1
@MrBluebirds22 No, by working class folk taking industrial action, striking, putting their bodies on the line and getting involved in politics.
1
@MrBluebirds22 How do you think they're able to get those wages?
1
@MrBluebirds22 Terrible example. Yes, politicians will happily pay themselves high wages. They'll happily shop government contracts out to their cronies. Classic corruption. It's the same in private companies. Those at the top like to pocket as much as possible. What they don't like is paying their workers a fair wage, which is why workers need to take action to get it. Like train drivers did.
