@RobertBowerNow Because China and India undertook massive tree planting projects. Meanwhile we lose millions of square km of land each year to desertification.

@RobertBowerNow Desertification? Right now, mainly Africa. Most of the increased CO2 emissions from the Amazon are the result of fires, often for the purpose of land clearing. Its also as a result of warming and droughts. I don't think it's my "research" that's lacking...

@RobertBowerNow Why is Africa feeling the brunt? Because its already a hot and dry place. It wouldn't start in Siberia, would it? I'm really not sure what you're getting at in regards to population/CO2 output. This is a global issue.

@RobertBowerNow I never said Africa was the only place global warming was having an effect. I said that was mainly where desertification is taking place. The intense cold snap in the US is another aspect of climate shift. Because it leads to extremes of weather. And saying that "none" of the predictions have come true is far too broad. Which predictions and who were they made by? And here's my challenge to you: see if you can reply while just sticking to the topic. Resist your urge to try and insult me.

@RobertBowerNow Because warmer climate means more droughts, meaning more crop failures. Also higher rate of desertification, meaning loss of habitable land so the people there will try moving somewhere else. If we thought there was a "migrant crisis" now, we're in for a nasty surprise. There's a lot of reasons why rising temperatures are bad, these are just two of the really easy-to-understand aspects that a layman like me can speak on.
