@trinketmage8145 List some examples and explain further how society works best when stagnating.

I hope you get the help you need.

@trinketmage8145 Two things. Firstly, If the forces for change and the forces against change are in balance, nothing happens. That's how equal opposing forces work. And what do we call that? Stagnation. Doesn't matter that you didn't use that word, it's what you described. Secondly, what you've given examples for is cause and effect. I'm not sure why you think it makes some grand point about why it's best to not change anything.

@trinketmage8145 Your metaphor is getting really snarled up. If two opposing forces are in equal balance and that results in one force slowly creeping forward... then the forces aren't equal. That means one force is stronger than the other. And your point about progressives not being as good at thinking through effects, while conservatives are, is pretty nebulous. Have you seen what conservatives economic policy has done? As for what you're saying, do you even know? You ended with "learn to work together", forgetting that the larger topic is the culture wars being waged by conservatives against minority groups. How are you meant to "work together" with someone who doesn't want you to exist?

What's the difference between goal 2 and goal 3?

@joeblow5588 But those are just the same thing.
1
@joeblow5588 Because they describe the same action.

@joeblow5588 No, it's not. Capitalism IS the system, so destabilising it is attacking it.

Do you know where the "red pill" idea came from?
