Kids absolutely are straight or gay, now that trans is becoming more accepted then you're gonna find more people speaking up about that. It doesn't mean more kids are being "turned" trans. It just means people who spent their lives hiding things about themselves can be open instead. And the idea that it's a political ideology is bull. It's only made political when other people want to start making laws against trans people. So basically, the very people who complain about it being political are the ones making it so.
