Let's be honest, Starmer was at least right when he said that all those Tory MPs who've resigned have no integrity. They stood by him through his handling of covid and are complicit in the crony contracts for PPE that never delivered. He's broken all kinds of rules with his approach to the Ireland/Brexit problem, including the deal he set up and they backed him on that. They're just doing it for their careers. Jonathon Pie has a very concise take on what it's all about.

@tim3172 He's having to resign precisely because he has no intergrity and he's certainly not admitted that he isn't cut out for it.

Well, the truth is that his peers are all guilty of the same thing he is and are just turning on him to try and protect their own political careers.

@J Anda It's not called "Question Period", it's called "Prime Minister's Questions". So... look that up.

Buddy, the UK is very much NOT to the left. We're a right wing country, as painful as it is to admit. The Tories just wanted to take us even further right, and may still do.

Technically he's resigning over the Pincher scandal. He survived "partygate".

@cacambo589 Except we need to address the fact that the whole party is complicit in Johnson's rules-breaking and just as corrupt as him. They robbed us during covid, in broad daylight, to the tune of billions. This whole shambles has also exposed the utter lack of unity these self-serving parasites have. So if they want to maintain that the "will of the people" still stands (remember, a LOT has happened since 2019) then they need to prove it. General election, NOW.

@Baxter157 Is that what you're doing, then?

@mrrefrigerator5129 You're just trying to flatter him 'cos you want him inside you again. 'Cos the idea that he's the most competent and charismatic, even just amongst the Tories, is laughable.

@SimonTBam You don't sound very informed either, Simon, as all you've done is parrot the lazy, surface level talking points that you'd hear on GB News. The other chap gave more specific examples of ways it's going wrong, you've just given vague contradictions. So how would you interpret the chaos over the North Ireland Protocol? What's your positive spin on that?
