@michaelcarney6280 It's very telling that you choose only to fling mud rather than actually respond to Perry who's challenging you on the substance of your claim.
2
@michaelcarney6280 You have now, sure. You hadn't when I commented. And when you finally did respond to them, you didn't actually address the points they made. Sooo...
2
@michaelcarney6280 Right, your comment was deleted. And your dog ate your homework.
2
Understand what? That Labour is being steered by people whose only interest is gaining power and influence?
2
@jamescooke6032 Then what's the point of being in power?
2
... so you're voting for Reform? Why do you think they'll bring change?
2
If you're pushing for a national identity based upon racial traits, you're far right.
2
See, your mistake was thinking Carlson is a journalist. He ain't, he's a performer.
2
@fredgarvinMP Prove me wrong. Oh, wait. You can't.
2
Very much so. But I think it goes far beyond simply losing an audience. As a consumer-driven capitalist society, we've been circling the drain for a while. Cost of living goes up, wages don't, and people steadily find themselves unable to "consume". If no-one can afford to buy the products, companies fail. People lose jobs, becoming poorer, with even less purchasing power, and things get exponentially worse until a total collapse. This is where unchecked capitalism and infinite growth gets us.
2
@TomRipley7350No, you don't.
2
I recommend voting Greens if you can. Okay, they're more left wing than your own stayed position. But they're pushing for PR voting, proportional representation, rather than our broken FPtP system, which would be a win for all of us.
2
Erm... what?
2
That's a really valid point that I've not considered before. Often, with the "we've lost our community/culture" argument, I feel like we sold it down the river in favour of quick and easy convenience, courtesy of capitalism. But I think your point is closer to the mark
2
Yeah, that's a whole lotta rubbish. Jog on.
2
By that logic, surely they should support Starmer.
2
I worked for a while as a "barista" in a small independent cafe. Now, I don't drink coffee myself, never been a fan. But it quickly occurred to me that all the people buying fancy lattes with all the syrups and toppings don't actually like coffee either, since they try very hard to get a drink that tastes nothing like it.
2
@TheHonestJock Did you just completely ignore my last comment? Did you understand what I was saying? Just because you insist that facts don't matter, doesn't change the reality.
2
@pjmlfc05 Its functioning as a detention center. You figure it out.
2
Why do you think it's positive to be having conversations with Tucker Carlson? Has that man not shown you well enough by now who he is?
2
Vote Green, signal the desire for PR to replace FPtP.
2
By "healthy and powerful" you of course mean "profitable for the ultra wealthy". Free market policies are destructive to societies and the wellbeing of its citizens.
2
@laganas2008 How about when Robinson tweeted a young lass, saying that he thought she was "pretty fit for a Muslim". The girl in question was 15. Yeah.
2
@laganas2008 And religion doesn't affect appearance, yet Robinson used it as a qualifier to judge her appearance. So what, do you think, did he actually meant when he said "Muslim"? Interesting how you ignored the part where he's being a nonce...
2
@randyvalantino6850 "like hotels and holidays homes"... what planet are you living on? Private rentals are all that's available for so many, so that's what we get.
2
@randyvalantino6850 A lot of people have to live in private rentals for most their lives. You seem to have a very narrow view of where and how private rentals are provided. While the private landlord isn't responsible for council housing, it doesn't change the fact that they are the only option for so many working class people.
2
All of you saying its a wasted vote are contributing to a self fulfilling prophecy. Remember that when you go and cast your vote to enable a two-party system that takes us for fools.
2
@tomg8636 Can we please stop with the tired old lie that all we need to do is make the environment that much more amenable and profitable for the very rich and then they'll finally be ethical about it? Its getting ridiculous l
2
@CB-dl1vg PolJoe is pretty firmly centre-left. If I want radical leftism, there's actual outlets for that.
2
Why do you think he isn't? To me, he seems very keen to push the idea of national identity tied to racial traits. Which is far right.
2
@Thirdfish I love this "unidentified" angle you're going with. Proper unhinged.
2
@markhenry192 Go on, finish the statement first. Then we can go over the problem with it.
2
@markhenry192 When telling the difference between a cow and a horse is too much for you, its probably safer to stick to colours and shapes. I'm glad you know your limitations.
2
@gothicpagan.666 That's a "simple" answer in your view? Please tell me you're being sarcastic...
2
@gothicpagan.666 I missed where said people were commuting back and forth every day. You have no idea what you're talking about, do you.
2
@GlitterandCrystals Ahem. No. You're welcome.
2
Cheers for that reasonable demand, totally-innocent 2 month old account.
2
Opposing Nazism was the one thing he definitely did right.
2
@Behindstage No, that's rubbish. He's saying this because he believes it but, more importantly, because he knows that the people he's been elected to represent believe it. To say that he's causing division by doing his job and representing the people marks you as a very curious individual, to say the least...
2
Starmer's Labour aren't left-wing and don't have support from lefties, so no. Yes, Labour are pretty corrupt. But they're no different from the Tories, Lib Dems or Reform in that regard.
2
Sadly so. There's a bunch of them round where I live, on sunny days they gather on one of the big roundabouts with their placards conflating environmental policy with fascist dictatorships. Which, given how much petrol fumes they huff all afternoon, is very funny to me.
2
Why are you calling them "potato farmers"?
2
What's disgusting about taking an oath to serve the voters, rather than a small elitist family?
2
@gearoftones8585 Intelligent people... yeah, I don't think that covers Peterson fanboys.
2
Stunning. "If you don't draw the same conclusion as me, you didn't get it."
2
@TomRipley7350If you think the Whitehouse getting to pick and choose who they answer to is "an even playing field" then you're not someone to be taken seriously.
2
@TomRipley7350 Most of what you just said is a lie. But its funny that you end with "anyone who wants to limit the scope of enquiry is not to be taken seriously". When that's literally want Trump is doing with this move.
2
@TomRipley7350 He's doing the opposite and you know it. Funny how you're also conflating the Democrat party with leftism. Just makes you sound like a clueless sycophant. Is that accurate?
2
Those fallen heroes were lied to and used by an uncaring establishment. The same establishment that hides behind pomp and ceremony. Sod the national anthem, it's a crass relic. Respect to Flynn for standing by his principles.
2
@dogglebird4430He did once make a comment about undesirables being forced to live in tents in a field, picking vegetables. That's pretty concentration camp-y.
